One Doe Press

My sister has a new blog called One Doe Press. She's got a couple chapbooks published and wanted a place to continue her writing and share her poetry with friends. She writes about injustice, mental health issues like homelessness, drug addiction and depression and the down and out in elegant but gritty prose.

Her newest chapbook, Railway Spine, has beautiful and heartbreaking characters tangled up in impossible situations. She may write sparse and quick poems that seem to hit you over your head or carefully layered prose crafted of rich language and emotional intensity.

Either way she can size up a character in a whip stitch and she never forgets the heat and soul of the matter. All of her chapbooks are available on her blog.
