I really got the itch to make a waldorf doll recently and I found a great kit from
Weir Crafts in Ann Arbor, Michigan. It was not expensive and it came with all the supplies needed to complete on doll, including hair, embroidery thread, wool stuffing, a silk-screened body pattern and lots of instructions. Here are the heads, one uncovered to show the nose, neck and eye line.
The bodies were easy to stuff, but tricky to attach to the head. The eyes and face were also tricky, but I suppose it gets easier with practice. The hair was fun, but, again, I could experiment with sewing and mixing yarns for a long time. Now Maia has a new buddy and I plan on making many more!
